Judy Jordan, Founder
Good business, artfully done, can be good social practice.

Judy Jordan, a Stanford University graduate, geologist, and the Founder of J Vineyards & Winery in the Russian River Valley, is an accomplished businesswoman with more than 25 years in the wine industry. Having successfully sold J Vineyards & Winery in 2015, Judy has now begun her next chapter.

As the founder of Capra Vineyards, Judy is dedicated to the belief that social change can be accomplished through strategic philanthropy and flexible investments. Using her in-depth knowledge of business, geology, and winemaking, Judy and her Vineyard Team acquired sites in Willamette Valley and Napa Valley. Capra Vineyards will develop properties that, in turn, will help underwrite sustainable, nonprofit training and mentorship programs for young people.

Judy is active locally and internationally, having resided on boards and assisted in charitable endeavors such as Sonoma County Community Foundation, Boys and Girls Club, Roots of Peace, United Way, and World Learning Inc. Judy has also served her business community as a board member of Sonoma Academy, Russian River Valley Winegrowers, The Wine Institute, and as past president of the Sonoma County Vintners.

Whether traveling to new and exciting destinations or staying active with swimming, tennis, yoga, and hiking, Judy loves to explore. A passionate sports fan, Judy enjoys cheering for Bay Area sports teams and values time with her family, friends, and colleagues.
